Life History

Essentially univoltine, flying in fall, although a single early June specimen represents either a cryptic species or a rare spring emergence; early specimens from Long Island barcoded within leachellus (H.D. McGuinness, pers. comm. 2020). This species is abundant at a small morainal grassland near the airport, flying concurrently with the common Agriphila vulgivagellus, where Fissicrambus mutabilis and Parapediasia teterrellus, abundant in summer at AH, are uncommon.
