Remarks

Known on Block Island from two specimens but easily confused for E. desertana. These species are treated jointly in analyses of phenology and local distribution, as I was not aware this species occurred on Block Island until this year and did not attempt to distinguish the two. Future surveying will determine how common this species is on Block Island relative to E. desertana. This species may turn out to be common where the host plant, eastern baccharis (Baccharis halimifolia) occurs on Block Island.
