Remarks

This introduced species was first recorded in North America in Queens, New York City in 2000. Only within the last decade has the species spread beyond western Long Island. It was first recorded on Block Island in 2016, though it may have gone unnoticed in 2015 and certainly earlier. The species is now established in downstate NY, across Long Island, and throughout southern New England as well as on Block Island. No records are yet known from New Jersey.
