Leuconycta diphteroides

Mainly univoltine on Block Island with a partial second generation in late July and early August observed in 2018 and 2019 but not in 2020 or 2021. Latest date of observation was 9 July in 2020 and 11 July in 2021 despite ample survey effort in late July and early August both years; gaps in sightings between generations were 18 July to 2 August in 2018 and 21 July to 29 July in 2019 (exclusive). Nightly sightings of this species were tracked in 2017 as well, when only certain common species were recorded, and the last sighting that year was 10 July except for a single individual observed 1 August.
