Sex Differences

In summer generation, males yellow basally and brown distally on both wing pairs and females mostly yellow.

Life History

Bivoltine on Block Island; in iNaturalist data from southern New England, peak flight times are May and July, the second generation more commonly sighted than the first, a pattern not definitively established on Block Island due to insufficient data from May.
