Life History

This species is rare on Block Island, with seven records in 2020 and one in 2021, but abundant regionally. Host associations are unknown, notwithstanding a rearing record from a Southeast Asian palm. Many regionally common species with few to no records from Block Island feed on trees rare to absent on the island, especially oaks.
