This European species was first recorded in the New World in 1942 in Massachusetts and has failed to spread widely or grow common since then. There are no North American records of the species on iNaturalist or BugGuide from anywhere other than Block Island, and MassMoths shows Cape Ann, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket as the only locations in Massachusetts with recent sightings.

Life History

Univoltine on Block Island; sighting dates range from 15 to 28 July.
