Life History

This notorious pest of cultivated Brassicaceae has been reared on Block Island from searocket (Cakile edentula) and is closely associated in this study with the dune habitats where this host plant occurs. It presumably could be found in numbers on the island also in gardens with brassicaceous crops. Multivoltine locally and particularly common in June and July; adults have been recorded from late April to late October.
