Life History

Overwintering pupae of this species are unable to survive prolonged freezing temperatures, but adults occur regularly in southern New England from July to October. Adults have been recorded on Block Island from late August to late September.

Identification

Easily confused with C. subflexa, a much less common species rarely seen in the region.
